Why is Bridge the Gap offering a hybrid event this year?
We have decided to offer both in-person and virtual options allowing registrants to choose what they feel comfortable with doing and allowing those both near and far the opportunity to participate and support the cause.
Why can’t we run across the bridges again this year?
Due to the final construction repairs to the Memorial Bridge and the safety of all participants, IDOT and MODOT will not allow anyone on the bridge for this year’s race.
Canned Food Drive Info
This year we are accepting canned food items and non-perishable items to support our local food pantries as we know that food insecurity has been heightened since the pandemic. Please bring food donations to packet pick-up on Friday, May 13 from Noon – 7p.m.
What are your COVID-19 policies & precautions?
Our intention is to be able to hold this event in person. Participant safety is our number one concern, so if it is deemed unsafe to have an in-person event, the race will be switched to an all-virtual event. Should we have to hold the event virtual only, we will automatically switch all participants to the virtual event and send details on how to obtain your race gear and submit your virtual times. We will contact all participants in the event that it goes virtual with further instructions if needed.
Will you have on-course support?
Yes, we will have a course marshal and traffic control on course. EMS will be available throughout the course, and medical team will be at the finish line.
Will I receive a medal and post-race food?
After you cross the finish line please grab your bag of race goodies which will include bottled water, snack, and race medal! For those that don’t take the bag you won’t get your race medal, and we are not held responsible.
Are strollers welcome?
Please stay to the left of the race route to allow other walkers and runners to go around you.
Can I switch from the physical event to the virtual event?
Yes, transfers are allowed through Friday, May 13, 2022. Please contact, Jake Goldsborough jake@fleetfeetstlouis.com to transfer.
