For the health and safety of our participants and community during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided to host the 20th Annual Quincy Medical Group Bridge the Gap Race as a virtual race only. This race has a longstanding tradition in our community. A virtual race allows us to continue the tradition and support Quincy Catholic Charities’ MedAssist program.
A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, or around your neighborhood. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Please remember social distancing recommendations when running or walking.

All virtual runners will receive a separate email with instructions on how to submit your time and view the results on Race Roster. If you did not receive this email, please contact email@example.com. No awards will be given this year to save on expenses and give as much financial support as possible to the MedAssist program.
No physical medal will be given this year. This decision was made to allow us to direct as much financial support as possible to Quincy Catholic Charities’ MedAssist program. During this time, our community members are facing additional hardships. Funds generated from this race are more important than ever to support the MedAssist program and help individuals access their lifesaving medications.
Last year, we introduced the first medal of a three-year interlocking medal design. This year’s medal was to be the second year for the medal. However, in order to minimize expenses and direct more funds to the MedAssist program, the second year of the interlocking medal will continue next year, 2021, and complete in 2022. This year’s medal will be a virtual medal and one you can share via social media.
T- shirts are available for purchase when you register. T-shirts are $15 and will feature a design celebrating our 20th year.
